I may not be perfect... But I am a Limited Edition!
One
lesson I have learnt from my time away from blogging is that I can never be
perfect.
But
what is perfect?
I
think perfect is an ideal, a way off idea, of what we think things ‘should’ be
like and we make the idea so outrageous that we can never reach it not matter
how hard we try. I’m not saying that its not good to have things to be working towards
and challenging us to be better, but to be perfect, I feel is unrealistic.
I
loved the image I found online that I’ve posted above. Being a Limited Edition
allows us to know that there has never been someone like you and there will
never be someone like you. I do believe we are each here to fulfil a purpose
and that we are the only ones that can fulfil that position.
The
world would be at a loss if anything happened to you that made you not be able
to reach your full potential. We all have gifts and resources within us that
are unique to you.
Something I wanted to share about life’s ups and downs from Dr Seuss.
Enjoy!
Oh! The Places You’ll Go!
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You're on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.
You'll look up and down streets. Look 'em over with care.
About some you will say, "I don't choose to go there."
With your head full of brains and your shoes full of feet,
you're too smart to go down any not-so-good street.
And you may not find any you'll want to go down.
In that case, of course, you'll head straight out of town.
It's opener therein the wide open air.
Out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.
And then things start to happen, don't worry. Don't stew.
Just go right along. You'll start happening too.
OH! THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
You'll be on y our way up! You'll be seeing great sights!
You'll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.
You won't lag behind, because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass the whole gang and you'll soon take the lead.
Wherever you fly, you'll be best of the best.
Wherever you go, you will top all the rest.
Except when you don't. Because, sometimes, you won't.
I'm sorry to say so but, sadly, it's true
that Bang-ups and Hang-ups can happen to you.
You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch.
And your gang will fly on.
You'll be left in a Lurch.
You'll come down from the Lurch with an unpleasant bump.
And the chances are, then, that you'll be in a Slump.
And when you're in a Slump, you're not in for much fun.
Un-slumping yourself is not easily done.
You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin!
Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in?
How much can you lose? How much can you win?
And IF you go in, should you turn left or right...
or right-and-three-quarters? Or, maybe, not quite?
Or go around back and sneak in from behind?
Simple it's not, I'm afraid you will find, for a mind-maker-upper to make up his mind.
You can get so confused that you'll start in to race
down long wiggled roads at a break-necking pace
and grind on for miles cross weirdish wild space,
headed, I fear, toward a most useless place.
The Waiting Place......for people just waiting.
Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go
or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow
or the waiting around for a Yes or No or waiting for their hair to grow.
Everyone is just waiting.
Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for the wind to fly a kite
or waiting around for Friday night or waiting, perhaps, for their Uncle Jake
or a pot to boil, or a Better Break or a string of pearls, or a pair of pants
or a wig with curls, or Another Chance.
Everyone is just waiting.
NO! That's not for you!
Somehow you'll escape all that waiting and staying
You'll find the bright places where Boom Bands are playing.
With banner flip-flapping, once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky. Ready because you're that kind of a guy!
Oh, the places you'll go! There is fun to be done!
There are points to be scored. There are games to be won.
And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all.
Fame! You'll be as famous as famous can be, with the whole wide world watching you win on TV.
Except when they don't. Because, sometimes they won't.
I'm afraid that some times you'll play lonely games too.
Games you can't win 'cause you'll play against you.
All Alone! Whether you like it or not,
Alone will be something you'll be quite a lot.
And when you're alone, there's a very good chance
you'll meet things that scare you right out of your pants.
There are some, down the road between hither and yon,
that can scare you so much you won't want to go on.
But on you will go though the weather be foul. On you will go though your enemies prowl.
On you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl.
Onward up many a frightening creek,
though your arms may get sore and your sneakers may leak.
On and on you will hike, And I know you'll hike far
and face up to your problems whatever they are.
You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know.
You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act.
Just never foget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
KID, YOU'LL MOVEMOUNTAINS!
So...be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Shea,
You're off the Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!
Is there something that you've ALWAYS wanted to do but were too scared to try?
Too scared of what people will think?
Too scared of what might happen if you tried?
I know I have - many times...
What would you do or try if you knew you couldn't fail?
If you knew for sure that it would be accepted?
Can you imagine the f.r.e.e.d.o.m we would give ourselves if we could walk in the knowledge that we were going to be successful and accepted?
I don't know about you, but I would LOVE to be able to do that. And I think that I am starting to do that too. It's only very small things at the moment but I have come to realise its the little things that add up to the big things.
I want to be the girl that people say:
. ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ .
'Everything was against her ... but she did it anyway
and because she did it,
she is a better person because of it,
whether it worked or not - a valuable lesson was learnt'
. ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ . ♥*♥ .
I don't think we give enough credit to our heart. Our heart knows and is all knowing. And yet we question it continually! Our 'Head Thoughts' versus our 'Heart Messages' is something I find fascinating. And how we can 'know' something and yet not 'believe' or 'feel' it, although we know it to be true.
I see everything as a learning experience. Whether we succeed or simply learn that it didn't work, I still think we've gained. I LOVE to learn. I think learning is WONDERFUL. To learn is to be ALIVE.
There is a huge power in a small three letter word - 't.r.y'
If we just try - we can't fail - because we've tried.
It makes me sad to think of all those ideas and thoughts people had but they weren't able to act on them or try them out. All those possibilities lost. I think we have a responsibility to act on our thoughts and ideas. What if we were the only one to be given that thought? What if someone is waiting for the magic that they need to come in a few words you thought you wanted to say to them? What if those were the words that would heal their hurt?
There is so much good in the world and my wish is that the goodness grows & grows.
What is something you could do today to make someone else's day better?
Touch the lived around you as you only can.
So in knowing that you will gain [something], what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?
I was sent this Daily Truth from Brave Girls Club in January.

Dear Courageous Girl,
Don’t ever think for a minute that you are weak when it feels like life is a battle. Many times, life does throw us into a battle. These are times that teach us, strengthen us, test us and show us what we are made of.
Life doesn’t give us battles to turn us into vengeful fighters, rather to show us the strength that we have that we don’t even know we have until we have to use it. Life is not out to get us, but rather there to teach us. Life is not working against us … but absolutely for us. Sometimes life hands out some really tough love … but if we take it as love … and return with love, openness and faith in the journey … miracles will happen.
It is ok to feel weary sometimes. It is ok to cry and even shout at the sky. It is ok to throw fits when we are at our wit’s end, The important thing is that we keep those fits short … make them count … and then move on … move forward … keep moving … keep learning … keep hoping … keep believing … keep smiling. Things have always worked out. Things will continue to always work out.
Be brave, dear girl.
You are so very loved. xoxo

This spoke mountains to my heart. It was able to break through the walls that had been built up around my heart to keep me ‘safe’. I think words are amazing. The way they can be strung together to make meaning and penetrate the darkest of places and begin to fill it with light and truth. When things were really bad for me and I couldn’t see a way out, I not only felt like I was in a battle, I knew I was in a battle and that at times I was battling to stay alive. I had really lost my way. I am so grateful for those who continued to walk along side me, stopping when I needed to stop, urging me to take a few more steps, encouraging me to fight for me and that I was worth fighting for. Its like the message I received in the Daily Truth was already spoken upon their hearts and they knew I had to get through.
And the miracle happened.
I came out of the darkness and into the light and the truth.
I have learnt so much through doing Body Restoration Course. I am so much more than just a body. I have a body that houses my soul. I am real and my body is like a story book – documenting my journey through the lows of the dark valleys, through my road of recovery, and the highlights of the journey along the way. My body has been through things, as has yours, that no one else has been through the exact same thing. I’ve learnt some things may be similar, but nothing is ever exactly the same. We are all unique, and things effect us completely differently. There is not one person that has had exactly the same string of events happen to them as it did to you.
But I beg of you, please don’t be discouraged. We are all so different and yet we are all the same. The things that you struggle with – guaranteed – someone else is struggling with the exact same thing. I think our hopes, dreams, fears, worries and anxieties are all the same – we just experience them differently.
And I do believe:
“The important thing is that we keep those fits short … make them count … and then move on … move forward … keep moving … keep learning … keep hoping … keep believing … keep smiling. Things have always worked out. Things will continue to always work out.”
When you don’t feel like you can be strong, I want you to know that I am always around. We weren’t meant to ‘do’ life alone. We are all here to encourage, support and help each other, and I think as women, its something that links us no matter where we are in this big, wide world.
So many things about us are different, but trust in the knowledge that we are all the same. We are all beautiful souls and things will continue to always work out.
This is something I felt I needed to share with you.
I hope you have the time to watch it.
It will be so worth it. Enjoy!
Happiness Revealed
When I watch TV – its just some show that are just pretend. And when you explore you get more imagination than you already had. And um, when you get more imagination it makes you want to go more deeper in so you can get more and see beautiful-er things. Like if it’s a path, it could lead you to a beach or something and it could be beautiful.
You think this is just another day in your life. Its not just another day, it’s the one day that is given to you today. And its given to you – it’s a gift. It’s the only gift you have right now and the only appropriate response is gratefulness. If you do nothing else but to cultivate that response to the great gift that this unique day is. If you learn to respond as if it were the first day in your life and the very last day then you will have spent this day very well.
Begin by opening your eyes and be surprised that you have eyes you can open. The incredible array of colours that if constantly offered to us for pure enjoyment. Look at the sky. We so rarely look at the sky. We so rarely note how different it is from moment to moment with the clouds coming and going. We just think of the weather and even the weather we don’t think of all the many nuances of weather, we just think of good weather and bad weather. This day right now, this unique weather, maybe a kind that will never exactly in that form come again. The formation of clouds in the sky will never be the same that is right now.
Open your eyes, look at that. Look at the faces of the people you meet. Each one has an incredible story behind their face.A story you could never fully fathom. Not only their own story but the story of their ancestors. They all go back so far. And in this present moment, on this day all the people you meet, all that life from generations from so many places over the world, flows together and meets you here like a life giving water if you only open your heart and drink.
Open your heart to the incredible gifts civilisation gives to us. You flip a switch and there is electric light. You turn a faucet and there is warm water and cold water. And drinkable water. It’s a gift that millions and millions in the world will never experience. These are just a few of the enormous number of gifts to which we can open our heart.
So I wish you would open your heart to all these blessings and let them flow through you. That everyone you meet on this day will be blessed by you, just by your eyes, by your smile, by your touch, just by your presence. Let the gratefulness overflow into blessings around you. Then it will really be a good day.
After the intensive from last weekend, I received an overwhelming sense of healing. I finally realised that I am not broken, I am actually whole.
My soul is whole. My being is whole. I am whole.
I can’t explain the relief that I felt, knowing that I am not broken goods. From the content being presented from someone I had never met before and who didn’t know me, I felt like he was speaking right to me.
I really believe in celebrating in who you are. You are unique and wonderful with so much to offer. In a conversation I had with an inspiring and wise woman, she reminded me that we don’t celebrate the little things enough. I’m not saying that you are a little thing but I really feel like we need to celebrate those little things each day that makes us who we are.
The kind word from a stranger.
The encouraging message to a friend.
A smile to brighten someone’s day.
Being grateful that we woke up this morning.
The courage it takes to just get out of bed.
It’s the little things, I think, that makes the bigger things so much better. The little things gives us encouragement, courage, passion. It’s the little things that makes us smile.
When I had given up on myself, telling myself that I was broken and not worth the effort, I was lost. I had forgotten to celebrate me. In fact, I told myself that I was nothing to celebrate. But I now know that was so incorrect. I am worth it, I am whole and I celebrate who I am.
I want to tell you, each of you personally,
YOU are worth it, YOU are whole
and I hope you have the courage to celebrate who YOU are.
You are so loved – please never forget just how valuable you are.
